Judaea. Hasmonean Period. John Hyrcanus I, 134-104 BC. AE Lepton. Upright palm branch, flanked by Hebrew inscription on either side. Reverse: Lily, within beaded circular border, "A" monogram at left. Hendin 458; AJC I, Group O. Sharply struck example. With black-green patina, and tan earthen highlights. Choice and rare. Hendin's values for the issue, in his 2001 volume, range from $200-$650. About Extremely Fine.
