Lot 1675

1799. PCGS graded EF-40. Well struck and attractively toned if somewhat mottled in hues of russet brown and "old silver" gray. Virtually fully struck, with just a trace of weakness at the lovelock curl on the neck, the shoulder area where the drapery merges into the hair, and on the eagle's head. But there is complete lettering in E PLURIBUS UNUM on the ribbon. Small die break after the second S in STATES is diagnostic of this BB-166 reverse (PCGS # 6878) .
Estimated Value $3,400 - 3,800.

Realized $4,140
