1858 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. NGC graded Proof 64. Light gold and blue toning. Has a cameo effect. Approx 300 proofs struck. A satiny frosted gem with dynamic mirrors and rich champagne brown to blue-iridescent toning. This is among the scarcer No Motto issues because it is the first year that the mint actively sought coin collectors to purchase Proof sets. As a result, the coins were often better struck than before to ensure that the collectors would return each year. This is an exceptionally attractive 1858 Proof that should result in active bidding.
