1892-S $20 Liberty. NGC graded MS-62. Nice original toning. A frosty example of this slightly scarcer S-mint date from the year 1892. At that time in our history, the United States Treasury department was suffering pressure from gold exports to Europe under panicky condition. Mintage of double eagles held up nicely throughout the crisis, but it was a true crisis of major worldwide significance that didn't ease up until about 1896. Pop 1073; 282 in 63; 44 in 64; 2 in 65; 1 in 66. (PCGS # 9021) .
