1922, $10 Gold Certificate. Fr-1173. The Speelman-White signature combination lasted from 1922 to 1928, which is why notes with these signatures tend to be the most plentiful "types" -- in the instance of this $10 gold note of 1922, slightly more than 147 million were issued. The portrait is of Michael Hillegas. He held the office of co-Treasurer of the U.S. before he died in 1804. The bright yellow-orange bank on these was engraved by H. L. Chorlton, E. M. Hall and G. U. Rose, Jr. PCGS graded Fine 15.
Estimated Value $140 - 180.

Realized $161
