Lot 3901

Roman Imperatorial Period. Mark Antony, d. 30 BC. Lot of 4 AR Denarii, 42-31 BC. Included are: Antony r. / Head of Sol in temple (RSC 12a). AR Quinarius: Veiled head of Concord / Clasped hands (RSC 67a). 2 Legionary Denarii: LEG V & LEG XII(?). ANTONY & CLEOPATRA (Craw. 543/1). Plus a Cistophoric Tetradrachm of Antony & Octavia: Jugate heads r. / Bacchus on Cista Mystica (RSC 3). Inspection suggested, as there is much variety in surfaces, patinas, and details. But worthwhile, interesting and rare material here. A good starter collection of this important figure in Late Republican Rome, not mention an affordable Antony & Cleopatra. Lot of 6 coins. Good to Fine.
Estimated Value $700 - 900.
