Phoenicia. Byblos. Azbaal, c. 350-333 BC. AR Dishekel (13.19 g). War galley left, with lionhead prow and three armed hoplites, riding on zigzag waves; hippocamp and murex below, NO in field. Reverse: Lion bringing down bull left; name in Phoenician above. Dewing 2662; SNG Fitzwilliam 6028. Obverse die showing some wear, but nice even strike for series. Lightly toned. Very Fine / Choice Very Fine.
