Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. Posthumous AR Tetradrachm (16.55 g), Myrina(?). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter; at feet amphora, in exergue, ear of grain. Price --, but cf. no. 1662, with palm branch instead in exergue. Perfectly centered on large, spread flan. Sharp and lustrous. Deeply toned. Extremely Fine.
