Lot 961

1911-D $5 Indian. PCGS graded MS-63 PQ. An important key date to the series and such a nice specimen for a 63! No one would be surprised or offended if it had been graded a point higher. It is sharply struck with virtually full mint luster and very clean surfaces. Pale honey gold toning completes the package. Low mintage of only 72,500 pieces. Breen-6817, "Extremely rare UNC." This lovely specimen will fit perfectly in a choice date set or perhaps a type set consisting of rare dates, a challenging project, but great fun during the hunt. Pop 35, with 12 in 64 and one coin in 65 (PCGS # 8521) .
Estimated Value $35,000 - 40,000.
The West Coast Collection.
