1840-D $5 Liberty. NGC graded AU-55. This top condition early Dahlonega half eagle is well struck with all details sharp and clear on both sides. Contact marks are commensurate with the type and grade and the color is a pale yellow. Breen-6527, with medium D and narrow milling. Low mintage of only 22,896. Pop 13, with 11 finer.
