Lot 2935

Great Britain. Proof silver Crown, 1893. Victoria Old Head. S-3937. LVI regnal edge date (not viewable in the slab). Scarce, made as a Proof in this design only in this year, for the special collector sets. 1,329 total minted, of which very few can begin to compare, today, in quality to the presently offered example. A few faint hairlines may be seen under the color, which is a lovely and bright greenish blue iridescence, with gold on the edge, on the obverse. Reverse is more subdued, pale gold and light gray with hues of blue. Worth a good bid! NGC graded Proof 66.
Estimated Value $2,000 - 2,500.
The Cheshire Collection.

Realized $2,300
