Great Britain. Pattern silver Britannia Groat, 1836. William IV. ESC-1924. "FOURPENCE" in one continuous word on reverse. Reeded edge (not viewable in the slab). Date ghosted and recut. Extra ghosted "P" in the denomination name. R3, very rare. A lovely Choice Proof with bright silver-gray surfaces showing some hairlines, mirrors deep. Slight cameo contrast to the portrait and Britannia figure. Seldom seen! NGC graded Proof 64.
