Great Britain. Sixpence, 1831. S.3836; ESC-1671; KM-712. William IV. Milled edge. One of the finest available examples of a truly rare Proof of Record that features superb, original iridescent golden toning with the hues of the rainbow. The 1831 Proof sixpence is nearly always found with a plain edge, as issued in the coronation set of 1831. This milled or reeded edge variety is exceptionally rare. NGC graded Proof 67.
