The high 8 in date 1818 shilling is a well-documented scarce variety which appears on the market only from time to time. The high 8 Crown is much rarer and is not even entered in many catalogues. This specimen has a superior finish and is free from flaws. Prooflike with deep attractive tone. An opportunity for the crown or George III specialist, or lover of rarities!. NGC graded MS-63.
