1821 Coronet Head Cent. . N-1. NGC graded Proof 66 Brown. A wonderful gem specimen with lots of eye appeal. The strike is clear and sharp as one would expect of a proof. Though classified as brown, the obverse displays most appealing red color within the protected areas and around the stars. The reverse is glossy brown with a blue-green overlay and is equally as lovely. This is quite likely the finest graded though at the time of cataloging, it had not been registered in the NGC census (PCGS # 1772) .
