Russia. Pattern Novodel Ruble, 1762-SPB YaI. Bitkin-H32; Sev-1883. Edge-4. Peter III. Well struck with bright prooflike surfaces toned a silvery gray blue. Rarity 4, with 2 or 3 specimens estimated to exist. Excessively Rare. Interestingly, the reverse die of this coin was also used by Catherine II to strike the gold rubles she presented to her personal guards for assassinating her husband, Czar Peter III. PCGS graded MS-62.
