1859 Liberty Seated Quarter Dollar. NGC graded Proof 66. A lovely gem proof example with the obverse toned to a golden sunset hue and the reverse a blend of deep violet and royal blue. Most of the marks appear on the holder and not on the coin. Only 800 proofs made and NGC reports 12 at this level with 3 better by a point. We suggest the new owner send this coin in for reholdering (PCGS # 5555) .
