Lot 147

1856-O Liberty Seated Half Dime. NGC graded MS-66. Here is a lovely coin with beautiful old time toning. It is quite sharply struck with each of the stars artistically framing Miss Liberty. The obverse colors are multi-hued iridescent including mauve, sea green, russet and pale aqua; the reverse in steel blue and deep golden orange. In 1856, the no arrows at the date type resumed, with a legend replacing the stars in 1860 and continued until 1873 when the half dime denomination ceased production. Pop 1, the finest specimen graded (PCGS # 4364) .
Estimated Value $3,500 - 4,000.
