1878-CC $20 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-61 PQ. The rarest Carson City mint $20 gold coin with only 13, 180 minted. At first glance this coin appears better than MS-61. At second glance, it still appears better! A few hairlines should not weigh so heavily on an otherwise excellent specimen free of any significant marks. It is well struck and retains full original mint luster in pale yellow orange shades. The diagnostic vertical die scratch confirms the variety but is in no way imposing. A rare opportunity for the Double Eagle date collector or "CC" specialist.Pop 4 with 2 in MS-62.
