Wong, Anna May (1905-1961) First major Chinese-American film star. Original vintage 12½ x 9½ in. photograph by Edwin Bower Hesser; affixed to a 20 x 15 in. mount, with Hesser's stamped signature below the lower right edge of the photograph. A lovely, waist-up portrait, c. late 1920s, early 1930s. Slight edge silvering; otherwise, in excellent condition. This photo has been in storage for 40+ years, since Hesser's death.
