Pickford, Mary & Fairbanks, Douglas (1893-1979 and 1883-1939) Original vintage 16 x 13 in. photograph of the most famous couple in the world during the 1920s and early 30s. Made by Edwin Bower Hesser, although his stamp is not on the verso (this was part of Hesser's belongings when he died in the early 1960s). There is a one inch tear at top edge and a couple of other edge blemishes, including one tiny tear at lower right, none of which will show when framed. A magnificent, sepia-toned portrait of America's sweetheart and the swashbuckling action hero who were married from 1920 to 1933. This photo has been in storage for 40+ years, since Hesser's death.
