Hayes, Helen (1900-1993) "First Lady of the American Stage." 13 x 10 in. vintage print of Helen Hayes and her husband, playwright Charles MacArthur. With embossed "Clarence Sinclair Bull" stamp at lower right edge; stamped and numbered on verso. The photo shows Miss Hayes developing a photograph as her husband watches. Bull took the picture for MGM. Hayes and MacArthur moved to Hollywood in 1930 when MacArthur was hired as a screenwriter for MGM. Miss Hayes won her first Oscar in 1931 for The Sin of Madelon Claudet.
