Brooks, Louise (1906-1985) Silent star who personified the "flapper girl"; best known for her role as Lulu in the 1929 German masterpiece, Pandora's Box. Original vintage photograph with stamp of Edwin Bower Hesser on the back and "#5" in pencil. Originally 16 x 13 in., this lovely photograph has been trimmed to to 15 x 12¼ in.; there is a 1 in. edge tear at lower right, which just touches the image and a couple of tiny tears at upper edge and top left, which affect nothing. The image itself has only a couple of minuscule flecks. This photo has been in storage for 40+ years, since Hesser's death.
