Ford, Henry. Automotive pioneer and tycoon. About eight, ¼" strands of hair collected by Ford's barber, Joseph Zaroski, on May 6, 1943. Mounted inside a small gilt frame attached to a copy of an affidavit filed on March, 1998 attesting to the authenticity of the hair. A color photocopy of the envelope in which this hair was originally placed accompanies. According to the affidavit, "… Zaroski was Ford's barber from 1929 to 1944 at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, MI. His chauffeur waited in the same room while Mr. Ford had his hair cut. The doors were always closed… My father saved this hair as a special remembrance. Helen J. Pierce". Comes with a Detroit News article of Zaroski's life as Ford's personal barber. This remarkable relic is protected by a firm crystal clear poly-glass holder that can double as a frame. 11 x 14".
