Bromfield, Louis. 1896-1956. Pulitzer Prize winning American Novelist (Early Autumn, 1926), many of whose stories were adapted by Hollywood into popular films. Inscribed Photograph Signed. Black and white, 11 x 14", "Hollywood!!! 1930". Pensive portrait of the author inscribed "For Arthur Ridman/ Colleague and fellow bridge player/ with much affection Louis Bromfield." Heavy mounting stains on bottom and along right edge, but still suitable for framing.
