Gallatin, Albert (1761-1849) Financier and statesman. Born and educated in Geneva, settled in Pennsylvania and elected to the US House of Representatives in 1795. He played an important part in the peace negotiations with Britain in 1814.

Autograph Note Signed. One page, 2.5 x 5", n.d., n.p. Delicately inscribed, "I am, very respectfully / Sir, Your Obedt. Servt. / Albert Gallatin" in light brown ink. Very Good.
