1874 Indian Head Cent. NGC graded MS-65 Red & Brown. Obverse surfaces are predominantly fiery red with touches of blue and violet. Fully struck, feather detail being sharp continuously through the headdress. The reverse surfaces are seem to be what determined the Red Brown designation. A fine crack exists from the border through the bottom of the date. Snow pointed out that this is the first year the straight large date style logotype was used (1874-1880). NGC population of 98 in MS-65RB with 22 in MS-66RB as finest.
