Lot 712

Roman Empire. Galba, 68-69 AD. Lot of Four Coins. Two Denarii: from Tarraco, 68 AD.: Laureate head left on globe / Roma right (Sear 20002095 var); and from Rome, 68-69 AD.: Laureate head right / Livia standing left (RIC 224). And two copper Aes of Rome: Draped bust right / Salus leaning against column right (RIC 501); Head right / Vesta seated left (RIC 375). Inspection suggested. First denarius with reverse marks, the second a bit over cleaned, but toned down. Both bronzes with usual smoothed fields, and perhaps a touch of tooling here and there. The second with good eye appeal. Most items rare. Lot of 4 coins. Coins average Very Fine.
Estimated Value $600 - 750.

Realized $489
