Roman Imperatorial Period. A Group of "Pompey" Coins. Lot of two Denarii, and one bronze. Gnaeus Pompey Junior, Denarius, 46-45 BC.: Helmeted Roma head right / Spain presenting palm to Pompeian soldier (Craw. 469/1a). Coin on oval flan, and a bit uneven in strike, but still crisp and highly lustrous. Quite nice. Also, two from Sextus Pompey, the Denarius, 42-40 BC.: Head of Pompey Magnus right / Neptune and the Catanaean brothers (Craw. 511/3a); and a bronze As, 43-36 BC.: Janiform head of Pompey Magnus / Prow of ship right (Craw. 479/1). Denarius and bronze with ample honest wear. The former deeply toned. Lot of 3 coins. First Superb Extremely Fine, rest Very Good to Fine.
