Roman Republican Coinage. Anonymous, c. 280-275 BC. AR Didrachm (6.81 g). Bearded head of Mars left, wearing crested helmet; sprig of oak behind. Reverse: Horse head right, on tablet inscribed ROMANO, ear of grain behind. Graffiti or light scratches at 5 o'clock on obverse. Deep old toning. Attractive portrait. Very Fine.
