1928 $20 St. Gaudens. NGC graded MS-66 Star. A common date Saint Gaudens double eagle in a superb condition, as noted by the presence of NGC's "star" designation and obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes. Rich orange-gold surfaces have areas of lighter, frosty yellow gold and subtle blue hues. Light olive iridescence exists near 6:00. Part of the Eastern Estate, a collection from a family that resided on the East Coast and obtained all of the 1928 Saints offered here directly from the U.S. Mint at the time of issue. Choice for the grade and as fresh as a Saint Gaudens double eagle can be.
