1925-S $20 St. Gaudens. NGC graded MS-62. A notable rarity from this series, in fact, a serious rarity. Only slightly more available in mint state than the 1926-D and pretty much not obtainable for most collectors past the grade range of MS62-MS63. The originality of this coin is just fantastic. Soft, satiny surfaces are alive with luster and display none of the marks usually associated with a brilliant uncirculated coin. Luster is strong and engulfs every area of the coin, open and recessed. A very tough issue to locate in any grade and when someone desires a choice, original example, they are generally in for quite a challenge. NGC population of 99 with only 45 finer.
