Lot 2424

1908-S $10 Gold Indian. With motto. PCGS graded MS-62. A wonderfully fresh, original and crisp example of this scarce Indian Head eagle. Only 59,850 pieces were struck this year and any choice uncirculated example is a good buy. The present example has microgranular surfaces with all-encompassing radial luster. Surfaces are a deep orange-gold while the cheek is lighter yellow gold in appearance. Two small nicks on the cheek are the only thing keeping this piece out of a n MS-63 holder. The 1908-S is scarce to rare in any mint state grade and the present example gives one the chance to purchase an extremely choice piece before getting into the more expensive grades. Housed in an old PCGS green label holder. PCGS has graded only 36 in MS-62 with only 84 higher (PCGS # 8861) .
Estimated Value $2,100 - 2,300.
The Michael M. Magdic Collection.

Realized $3,795
