Marvelous 1911-D $2.50 Gold Indian. PCGS graded MS-64 PQ. An absolutely stunning example of the key date in the Indian Head quarter eagle series. Demand has outpaced the limited supply of this issue and there are no signs of this trend stopping. Mint State examples are quite scarce and well struck gems such as this are most elusive. This is an outstanding example, bursting with original mint color and the delicate granular mint luster is fully intact. While grading this issue can be tough, those who view this beauty will be quite impressed with the choice surfaces and lack of marks and should agree with our designation. Mintage of only 55,000 with a PCGS population of 219 in this grade, 9 in MS-65 and 4 in MS-66 (PCGS # 7943) .
