1911 $2.50 Gold Indian. NGC graded Proof 66. There is gold, there is proof gold … and then there is matte proof gold! A stunning, microscopically granular gem with deep gold coloration. Luster is never really seen on these issues and the presence of sky-blue iridescence embedded within the granularity will have to satisfy you, which we think it will. Of the 191 proofs struck in 1911, around 35-40 exist in all grades today. Every detail is razor sharp and the eye appeal of this piece of numismatic artwork is magnificent!
