1811 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Small 8. PCGS graded MS-62 PQ. Aside from a small champagne toning spot at star 7, this example is pure white and frosty. Struck from sharp impression of the dies with hair detail and feather detail above average. Only a small tick mark above the corner of Liberty's lips is worth noting. A relatively common variety from a year with an estimated mintage of 1,203,644, produced by ten obverse dies and ten reverse dies. Choice for the grade and uncommon in its originality (PCGS # 6097) .
