Islamic "Grenade". A.D. 8th-11th Centuries. Potted with thick walls, the grenade is of broad drop shape, with a conical neck and rounded thick mouth at the mouth. It is ornamented with three rows of raised projections resembling a bearded face. Height: 4.45 inches. Minor imperfection on one side from manufacture; intact and in very fine condition.
