Rowe, "Schoolboy" and 1939 Giants/White Sox Score Card. Rowe (1910-1961) played from 1933-49; he played most of his career for the Detroit Tigers. In 1942 he was purchasd by the Brooklyn Dodgers and in 1943, by the Philadelphia Blue Jays. Regulation League Ball Signed "Schoolboy Rowe" on the sweet spot. Signed by eight other players, whose signatures are very light. Accompanied by an early, hand-sewn baseball, unsigned, stamped "Compressed Core…75." Also, a used score card for a New York Giants / Chicago White Sox game, c. 1939, toned and split at seam; ragged lower edge.
