Stanwyck, Barbara (1907-90) Typed Letter Signed, Los Angeles, March 4, 1946, 1 page, quarto. To Hal Wallis Productions, Inc., Hollywood, California, protesting the co-star billing that is to be given to Lizabeth Scott in "The Strange Love of Martha Ivers." Miss Stanwyck refers Article 14 of her employment agreement, which states that she will co-star only with a "recognized male or female Star". She says that Miss Scott "has not attained the position of a 'recognized Star,'" and threatens not to do the picture if they persist. Matted with a promotion for the movie, in which Miss Scott did appear with Miss Stanwyck and Van Heflin. Framed to 15½ x 21 inches.
