(Kennedy, John F.). An especially rare photograph of Kennedy and his wife being greeted at Kelly Air Force in San Antonio, Texas on November 21, 1963, the day before he was shot at Dealey Plaza in Dallas. The 8 x 10 in. black and white photo is an official U.S. Air Force photo from Kelly Air Force Base. It was found in the attic of a San Antonio house, abandoned along with a Thomson submachine gun, some rifles, and an MAB pistol. A color copy of the homeowner's original letter of provenance is included. Also in this lot are six wire photos of the Kennedy, including a double photo of young Caroline in the Oval Office with her father, JFK and Jackie by the 1962 White House Christmas tree, at a dinner, at a christening, and at the inauguration.
