de la O, Genovevo (1876-1952) One of Zapata's top generals; led first movement into armed guerrilla warfare that sparked the Mexican Revolution. Typed Document Signed as General of the Division, Head of the 1st Division of the South, and Head of Military Operations for the State of Morelos, Cuernava, Dec. 30, 1920, 1 page, quarto. An official letter transmitting orders to Colonel of Infantry Alfredo C. Munoz that General de la O has received from the Secretary of War and of the Navy. General de la O was one of the few leaders of the Mexican Revolutions to survive to old age. Archivally matted with two images of de la O to an overall size of 28½ x 13¼ inches.
