Draped Bust Dollar. 1797. 10 stars left, 6 right. B-3, BB-71, R-2. Extremely choice example of a Draped Bust, Small eagle silver dollar. The quality of the surfaces and the originality on this piece are truly tough to find these days. Both obverse and reverse have medium gold toning in the periphery that shifts to light olive iridescence over steel gray. Luster is smooth and crisp and of AU quality. Minimal technical wear on the high points is the only characteristic that resembles Extremely Fine for this outstanding piece. Well centered, well struck and displaying no adjustment marks or rim nicks. The only mark is an old, short scratch just below the 10th stars and L of LIBERTY in field. While the 10X6 Stars variety is common, an example of this stature is not. PCGS Pop is 19 with 25 finer.
Estimated Value $6,000 - 7,000.

Realized $10,350
