Lot 821

Barber Half Dollar. 1911-S. PCGS graded MS-65. A very scarce and undervalued issue from the Barber half dollar series. Mintage this year from San Francisco was 1,272,000 but survivors are few and far between. In fact, PCGS has graded only 70 1911-S Barber halves in all grades. The quality of the present piece is phenomenal for this issue. Pure white and untouched, surfaces that display no filming, whether artificial or natural. Lustrous and well struck and the neck, cheek and face of Liberty close to flawless. The only mark to mention is a tiny, hairline scratch to the right of stars 4 & 5. Bid accordingly for this truly gem Barber because it could be some time before you see another this nice. PCGS population in 7 in MS65 with 5 finer, all MS66 examples. (PCGS # 6523) .
Estimated Value $4,000 - 5,000.

Realized $5,175
