Lot 720

Barber Quarter Dollar. 1892. NGC graded MS-66. Iridesecent toning creeps past the stars into the fields and shifts to a lovely champagne color. Lustrous and well struck. A small die crack from the top of 2 in date extends across the tip of the neck to the 13th star. A Type II reverse with the wings past the halfway point of the E in UNITED. Fantastic central purple and blue tones surrounded by thick luster. This die combination is the more common of the two for this issue. A superb gem! NGC Pop is 65 in MS66 with 15 in MS67 and 8 in 68 as finest.
Estimated Value $1,200 - 1,400.
