Phoenicia. Tyre, after 126 BC. Lot of Two AR Half-Shekel / Didrachms. Each with: Laureate bust of Melkaart right / Eagle left on prow, palm at shoulder, club and date in fields. One, year 45 or 46, struck 82/81 or 81/80 BC.; BMC and SNG Cop. unlisted. Other, year 162, struck 36/37 AD.; BMC --; RPC 4695. First well struck up, but surfaces with porosity or light roughness. Toned and rare. Second, well centered and struck up on tight flan, but some spots of corrosion. Toned. Lot of 2 coins. Both strong Very Fine s.
