Lucania. Metapontum, c. 325-280 BC. AR Nomos (7.8 g). Head of Demeter right, with wreath of grains, earring, and necklace; EY below chin. Reverse: Ear of barley with leaf to right, star above leaf; ethnic at left. SNG ANS 499-502. Sharp, even strike. Toned and pleasing. Choice Very Fine.
