Lot 179

Flying Eagle Cent. 1856. Impression on Two Leather Tabs. A curious piece illustrating the lengths to which we numismatists and collectors will go to insure all of our spare time is spent being productive. A bold representation of an 1856 Flying Eagle cent with the obverse and reverse die impressed separately into two leather tabs/buttons. Both impressions are sharp and would be considered "mint state". Surely this intriguing lot will end up in the hands of the dedicated small cent collecor. Sold as is. Two pieces.
Estimated Value $200 - 250.

Realized $138
