Draped Bust Cent. 1797 S-138. Rarity-1. VG-10 Mint Error-Double-Struck. Brown with very sligth surface graininess, worse behind the lowest curls. There is a small planchet lamination on the right reverse. DOUBLE STRUCK, with the second strike 5% off-center toward 10:00. The date shows as 17977 and there are another set of dentils around the right obverse rim. Also, there are another set of dentils around the right reverse rim with the tops of MERI showing above MERI of the second strike. Removed from an NGC holder graded VG10. Includes tag.
