Liberty Cap Cent. 1795. S-76b. Rarity-1. Plain Edge. PCGS graded VF-35 Mint Error-Flipover Triple Strike. Medium brown with smooth, glossy surfaces. Triple struck with clear undertype on each side. The intial strike was properly centered while the second strike was 10% off-center toward 10:00. The planchet then flipped over and a third impression was made slightly off-center toward 9:00. Strong undertype from the second strike shows on the right side of the obverse. Very clear remnants of the first two strikes show on the right side of the reverse, including two strong caps, one partially overlaying the other. A neat mint error!!!! (PCGS # 1381) .
Estimated Value $2,500 - 3,000.
