Thracian Dynasts. Koson, c. mid-1st century BC. Gold Stater (8.42 g). Roman consul flanked by two lictors; monogram before, KOΣΩN below. Reverse: Eagle standing left on scepter, holding wreath. RPC 1701; BMC p. 208, 2. Faint double-striking on the obverse, otherwise sharp and lustrous. Choice Extremely Fine.
